Our shoes are handmade in Menorca, Spain, by Castell. They have been making them since 1985, but this style of footwear has been around for years before that!
Jackie Brittain is the owner-operator of Bee Shoes, she works full time in advertising and sales as well as being a mom to three and grandma to four. Bee Shoes has been a long time dream and vision for her, going back to when she was 19 and spending a year abroad in Menorca Spain, that is when she found her first pair of Avarcas shoes, and she knew then she wanted to import these fantastic shoes to her home of Vancouver BC! Thirty-five years later, she is here and living her dream.
Jackie is also passionate about the environment and selling a sustainable shoe that is not just fast fashion, part of that is donating 1$ from every pair of shoes to help save the bees!
